Hair loss - the art of letting go

by Samantha Morris

Sometimes, the hardest part of the journey is letting go. This video marks a turning point in my story—one of resilience, adaptation, and finding beauty in transition. As an artist, I believe in capturing all parts of life, even the vulnerable ones. Through my art and storytelling, I explore how creativity helps us navigate challenges, and this moment is no different. If you’re on a similar path, know that you’re not alone. I’m Sam Morris, an artist, illustrator, and storyteller weaving nature, narrative, and quiet discovery into my work. My art is about more than making pictures—it’s about slowing down, seeing the world differently, and inviting others to do the same. If you love sketchbooks, illustration, picture books, and expressive mark-making, I’d love for you to join me on this journey. This past year, I’ve also been navigating breast cancer treatment, and your support has meant everything. I hope to show how life’s challenges can become fuel for creativity—how even in difficult times, art helps us find meaning, beauty, and connection. Creativity meets us where we are, and I’ll see you inside the studio.
