This is my 2026 year-long creative project, built slowly and thoughtfully across the year. The project includes 24 guided lessons one sketching lesson and one painting lesson each month, designed to help you explore drawing, colour, and visual storytelling in depth. Each pair of lessons works together: the sketching lesson focuses on observation, thinking through ideas, and composition, while the painting lesson develops those sketches into more resolved work.

Across the year, we’ll explore The Wind in the Willows as a shared narrative world, beginning with character and home studies and gradually building an illustrated concertina book. The lessons are cumulative, with each month feeding into the next, allowing ideas to grow through repetition, reflection, and time.

This project is for anyone who wants to slow down, work with intention, and understand how illustrated stories are built — not through speed or perfection, but through process.
