The Cotswold Collection
This evolving series of paintings explores quiet moments of connection, memory, and imagination — shaped through conversation and shared making.
Some pieces begin with a fellow artist's beginning, Christina Sadlers dreamlike landscapes, rooted in real places and fleeting atmospheres. From there, I step in, adding narrative threads — a paper boat adrift, a deer caught in stillness, a special bench. Sometimes the additions feel playful, sometimes poignant, but always they’re in response to the story the landscape first whispered.
Together, we’re building a gentle world of near-realities — anchored in Tewkesbury and its surroundings, yet open to interpretation.
These paintings are quiet companions — inviting the viewer to pause, notice, and feel.
